Location Detection
Locating DECT handsets and their users can be essential if e.g. staff need immediate assistance. Via the SOS button the system sets off alerts for assistance, and automatically provides location information.
The VOICE DECT open architecture
To protect investments and stay competitive, VOICE DECT is based on the open SIP standard. This basis not only offers tight integration with COMTEL’s IFV platform but also offers compatibility to many platforms available in the market.

A VOICE DECT configuration typically consists of base stations, handsets and optionally a messaging application.
VOICE DECT Base stations
VOICE DECT offers a DECT solution for Enterprise Business as well as for Small Medium Business (SMB). The enterprise solution comprises of multi cell VOICE AP500 base stations while the SMB solution makes use of dual cell VOICE AP500 base stations.
VOICE DECT Repeater
The coverage of a multi cell solution and of a dual cell solution can be extended with VOICE AP500 Repeaters.
The AP500 DECT Repeater ensures more coverage and range, guaranteeing perfect quality and interruption-free calls across larger premises.
Each repeater adds an extra range of up to 50m indoors and 300m outdoors. Combined with encrypted daisy chaining this adds 150m indoors or 900m outdoors range to a base.

With messaging, staff can be alerted about incidents and emergencies, assistance requests such as nurse calls or industrial process status. As such it also replaces separate paging systems. Messaging includes individual messages to terminals, broadcast messages to a group of terminals and confirmation messages. Priority level ring tones allow staff to differentiate.
